What are the causes of extensive hair loss? ?

Hi, I'm 14 and I am just wondering what could cause hairloss in someone my age. I skip some meals, but I have been eating the best I can, and I don't really eat a lot of junk food. I have gained a weight, maybe 6 pounds in the past month because I have just started high school, which is stressful and I lost 22 pounds over the summer, so I gained a little back.

I'm a little worried about why I am losing so much hair. Like I will find 15 long strands of hair at the end of the day. :/What are the causes of extensive hair loss? ?
alopecia (spelling) and stress. Stop skipping some meals and eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner. I lost alot of hair during high school years as well cuz homework and exams were killing me. I took more courses than anybody else cuz my dream was to get into a University. Thank god i'm out of that dark hole and into my dream now :)What are the causes of extensive hair loss? ?

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems.Perming, straightening, hair dyeing and bleaching ,hot combing, using heated rollers and hot wax inevitably damage the hair.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. increases in testosterone causes hair loss, since you are going trough puberty, you should have episoded of high testosterone that will cause hair loss and acne, these should level off as you get older.
Anemia (low iron), as well as poor nuitrition can cause hairloss....skipping meals will cause both of those problems. Start eating good meals, regularly, and see if it comes back. If not, you need to get to a doctor or dermatologist.
Stress can be a big factor in female hair loss. Try to relax and do some de-stressing activitiess to get your mind off your worries about school.
I suggest check it with doctor / expert about hair. Extensive hair loss you said. Are you a bit bald now ? no ?
