Does it matter what kind of hair you have? I have long black hair, Im 20What is the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner to prevent hair loss?
A gentle, natural shampoo would be best. And don't forget about your scalp. Make sure you move it around every day to get the blood flowing. When we have stress, our scalp can get tight and choke the hair follicles. Hair grows as a result of friction so be gentle but give your head a good rub too. Wash your hair every day to remove stress hormones that might make hair want to fall out.
Unless by black hair you mean African American hair. If so then please ignore the part about washing it every day. What is the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner to prevent hair loss?
I have had good luck with Wildroor creme oil. You can get it at Walgreens. About once a week I wet my hair down, work in a generous amount of Wildroot then comb it into a slicked back style. I keep it in all day or overnight then shampoo with two latherings. My scalp is in great condtion and my hair loss is less.
Nioxin was recommended to me by hair dresser when I was experiencing some hair loss due to stress
''shampoo de chile';. you could buy this at a mexican store.

My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
go to your doctor or dermatologist.... I had the same problem and I'm 23 I tried using some shampoo's that stores sell and it made it worse...My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
If it is stress related or genetic Nioxin is the best you can buy. However, it could be something else. Most prescriptions are cheaper than that shampoo and conditioner. Go to a doctor. Your scalp is an extension of what is going on inside, if its off balance there is a chance something needs to be checked up on.My hair is falling out. What kind of shampoo or other things can I do to prevent more loss? I'm 22?
mm. i say you should stop using whatever brand you're using now.
if you're hair's dry, then use the shampoo and conditioner that would help it. if it's not dry, then don't use the shampoo for dry hair cuz that is adding oil to your scalp, and that will clog up the hair follicals, making it hard for your hair to stay put and hard for more hair to grow.
eat healthier.
sleep more.
drink a lot of water.
and from time to time, do a handstand to get the blood flowing to the brain. it's a yoga trick.
if you can't do a handstand, then lie upside down on your bed to get the blood flowing.
oh...and maybe you should clean your hairbrush or change it.

It's not uncommon to find a B12 deficiency in women who suffer hair loss. BIOTIN (a vitamin) is also essential for hair growth- it's a major component in the natural hair manufacturing process and is essential to not only grow new hair, but it also plays a major role in the overall health of skin and nails. You can buy BIOTIN at any drug store in the vitamin section.
I have the same problem.
mine started when I was about 25
first, get your thyroid checked.
your doc can do that with a blood test
then, if everythings normal with results, go to a dermatologist.
they will check for female pattern baldness-does anyone in your family have thinning/bald head of hair
ask to get a prescription for minoxidil 5%, they sell this in 2%, and 4% over the counter, but these aren't strong enough
eat a balanced diet, drink lots of water, massage your head daily, don't put hair in severe ponytails/hairstyles, and try not to let stress effect you!
Best of luck!
bye a wig
r u bald yet?
nioxxin is the best. they even have vitamins that help.
Are you under a lot of stress lately?
Create a balance and time for you.
Eat balanced meals, exercise.
Also if it is really bad, see your
doctor to ensure your receiving the
right product.
Use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. It's made specifically for that reason.
Nioxin...try better drug stores..like rite aid
Reagen Hair reactive Shampoo and Hair Tonic.German Product. You can get it from the nearby pharmacy.
Usually, loss of hair can mean you're not getting enough iron in your diet. Stress is also a factor, I hate to say. You can take a supplement called Biotin, Folic Acid, and before considering an Iron tablet; please see your Doctor. You're pretty young to be losing your hair. It's probably a simple thing; try the supplements, stay away from stress and put more iron in your diet. Good luck:)
first of all, we drop an average of 60-100 strands of hair per day. at your age, u wun hav a permanent hairloss. There's also a possiblilty of hormones change which is temporary. You can try Lorael Kerastase Prevention for the shampoo and the tonic to apply after every hair wash. Just this 2, no extra(the stylist might intro u another package which is more expensive).
It's perfectly normal to lose hair each day (though I don't know the average number of strands), so I'd only worry if it's coming out in clumps or is seriously damaged. If damage is what's causing your hair to fall out, I suggest using Stephen Knoll's Deep Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. Use it daily and then use his hair mask (don't remember what it's called) once a week. You'll see a difference immediately. Start wearing a satin cap to bed or sleeping on a satin pillowcase (or both), this way your hair isn't getting caught in the cotton and breaking. Also try not to use too much heat at once - a blow dryer followed by a curling/flat iron can wreak havoc on your strands!
use the same shampoo.do not change it often
but it would be better if u go for herbal or sidda medicine.
human hair sheds every seven years or so, so dont worry too much, but if its an ongoing problem see your doctor about it. if u are a man it could be male pattern baldness!
use loreal shampoo and conditoner.. eat lots of veggies and fruits. stay away from stress.
Here's what you gotta do:
1. Get a vitamin E capsule (most of them comes in gel capsule form that has a liquid inside. Any brand will do.)
2. Get a needle and pop the capsule.
3. Now get your shampoo bottle and put the liquid vitamin E inside the bottle.
4. Mix the bottle.
5. Use your shampoo.
You'll notice that your hair will grow faster compared before. Trust me, this works. :) I also do this myself. :)
If you have virgin coconut oil at home, you can use this as well. Put it on hair and leave it for at least 30 minutes (You can do this at least 3x a day). Then rinse it off using your shampoo. The VCO can act as your hair lengthener and as your conditioner. :) Goodluck! :)

Good shampoo for 20 yr old male to prevent hair loss and encourage thicker hair.?
I'm a 20yr old male in college and I seem to be thinning on my hair. Well maybe not thinning but every time I scratch my hair or just brush it 4-8 strands of hair would fall off. I also have it in my dad's genes as it was passed down from my grandfather. Is there a proven shampoo that can slow or reduce hair loss as much as possible, make my hair more thick, and really works? I've noticed this just recent years but any further in past not really cause I was still young in my teens. I use to use head and shoulders but currently changed to Dove for no reason. I don't have serious dandruff, only have very little and heard that if you use too much head and shoulder you can get more dandruff if you don't have much to begin with. Anyway any advice would be great, thanks. Please let me know where to get the product that is being recommended also thanks.Good shampoo for 20 yr old male to prevent hair loss and encourage thicker hair.?
You could use Nioxin. Do not use baby shampoo, it's only gentle for babies eyes and skin, it's very bad for the hair. You could also talk to your doctor, he or she could per scribe a medication to help you out.Good shampoo for 20 yr old male to prevent hair loss and encourage thicker hair.?
I recommend Awaken and Replenish hair growth shampoo. It contains Trichogen which is a botanical alternative to Minoxidil. It works very well for hair loss and thinning. Nioxin is good as well but primarily marketed for ';thin'; hair - which might be equally as good a solution.
I'd also recommend using hair nutrition vitamins. They're good for increasing growth, strength and shine.
Good Luck :)

How can i prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.Shampoos and hair oils seem to be worsening the problem?
I have a problem of dandruff and itchy scalp aswel.it seems that every time I wash my hair and comb it wether wet or dry my hair begins to losten at the roots and starts falling.I've had this problem since the age of 17,im now 20 with extremely thin hair. How can i prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.Shampoos and hair oils seem to be worsening the problem?
Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo. A mixture of lemon juice and egg white and oil massage could also be used to strengthen the roots of
hair. More remedies at http://hairthinning.org/ will prevent further problems. How can i prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.Shampoos and hair oils seem to be worsening the problem?
Have you tried other shampoos? The shampoo you're using may not be suitable for you. Try shampoos with aloe vera as ingredient, or the 'horse' shampoo and conditioner, ';Mane 'N Tail';...
Also, try to have a protein treatment at a nearby salon.
Sorry about the thin hair. You should make an appointment with a dermatologist to make sure that their isn't a skin condition causing your hair loss. There are some conditions that are associated with hair loss, and so it would be good to rule those out first.
I am not sure if it is appropriate for someone your age, but ask your doctor if its good to use Rogaine. Absolutely consult your doctor first should you look into it.
the best thing for this problem is go AYURVEDA or herbal u find some good aurveda solutions in kerala they also ship the medecine if u can give online counselling with thm and aditionally when ever u use any knid of shampoo we in misconception use it concentrated so tht it will be more effective but the truth is if u dilute it and use it our scalp gets exposed to lesser chemical used in shampoos these days
also use baba ramdevs accupuncture technik s splly for preventions of hair loss
keep u r hai as clean as possible every time

Does anyone know what shampoos are good to prevent hair loss?
i'm in my early 20's and...you know the rest!...so, any sugestions are welcomed!Does anyone know what shampoos are good to prevent hair loss?
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Go to a local hair salon. They should have a few different choices on products that will slow down the loss of hair. I usually sell Nioxin but there are more out there. Most of the time, it will come in a kit with 2-3 steps.
Keep in mind most of these products do no regrow hair....I have sold several myself...occasionally it will produce some baby fine hair but it isn't the same. However, most of them will aid in retarding the loss of hair.
I hope this helps.Does anyone know what shampoos are good to prevent hair loss?
hi to be honest if your going bald theres not a lot you can do ive been losing my hair since i was in my twenties %26amp; i just have got used to it as it is hereditary in my family !
but i also blame my mother she swore by the shampoo wash %26amp; go when i was younger '; wash %26amp; go more like wash %26amp; gone lol '; i just laugh about it now ! but dont let it get you down if your that worried about it why not just shave your head ! i
I know that Nioxin makes a good product for fine and thinning hair:
http://www.nioxin.com/index.cfm?objectid
You should also consult a dermatologist to possibly begin taking Propecia.
http://www.propecia.com/finasteride/prop
It has the potential to help you stop losing hair and may even regrow some of the hair that you lost.
I don't think there are any shampoos that will stop hair loss as hair loss is caused by a chemical on the INSIDE of your body.
Good luck to you!
Rogaine has shampoo.
mane n tail thickens hair. it just cost $8 a bottle. or $7. it is good.
Hair falls due to genetic reasons, stress, pollution, thyroid imbalance, chemicals in hair styling products and lack of proper nutrition. Home remedies are cheap , natural and without any side effects. Some of the home remedies for treating hair fall are:
1.Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo. A mixture of lemon juice and egg white could also be used to strengthen the roots of hair.
2. Massage the head with oil for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with a shampoo. A hot oil massage with olive oil will also help.
3.Apply a mixture of lemon juice and juice of amla to the scalp. This also helps control dandruff in the hair
4. Boil neem leaves in water for an hour and let it cool. Wash the hair with this water. Alternately neem oil can be mixed with coconut oil and massaged where there is hair fall
5. The juice of fresh coriander can be massaged onto the scalp will reduce hair loss.
6. Ensure that you eat nutritious food, with plenty of leafy vegetables. Have a soya milk drink and multivitamin tablets if you do not have time to have a healthy breakfast.
7. Apply conditioner only to your hair not to the scalp or hair roots. The conditioner could damage your hair. Henna (mehandi) will help control hair loss.
8.Try to reduce the stress and tension in your life, learn to relax. Stress causes hair loss.
get a wig !!!!!!!!!
None that work sadly or you'd never see a bald man in his 30/40's etc....hair loss is hereditary..if you dad or grandad is bald so are you gong to be my friend!
Its quicker and cheaper to get use to the fact your going to be a slap head and stop worrying about it...worrying gives you stress and stress will just speed up the process.
hmm.. well I don't know about shampoos, but I've heard that a good way to reduce hairloss is to wash your hair in warm water, not hot (and I wash mine every other day with shampoo, not every day)
a hair net or shave it and everyone will get used to it
i found this for you...........Thicker and fuller hair with Toppik UK hair loss treatments. ... Hair Treatment | Thickening Shampoo | Hair regrowth product | Thick Hair | Hair Loss Shampoo ........at.www.hair123.co.uk
you can bye shampoos that thicken your hair but the only ones that would really work and you would notice a difference is a product called kerastase which you can only go and buy in salons and it is quite expensive but kerastase is a very good brand!
leave in conditioner,,,but not a weekly thing,,hair breakage,hair loss,is due to lack of vitamin,and also stress,,and try and use less dryers,irons and such,,,,go naturall,,for a while,,give your hair a rest....
the more you mess with it the quicker it will start to go just wash it twice a week in a mild shampoo and conditioner and style it with what ever products you use, enjoy your hair while you can(sorry)...
I agree with Julie who said Nioxin... that's the best thing out there... Rogaine is OK, but as soon as you stop using it, the problem is back, because Rogaine's active ingredient is a drug, once you stop using it the symptoms return, so you must use it for life. Nioxin isn't something that you necessarily can't stop using (but it's better if you don't) plus it's all natural so you don't have to worry about side effects.
Go to a salon that sells Nioxin to have a stylist recommend what formula you should be using for your hair, or you can read more about it on their website... http://www.nioxin.com/
Hope this helps you!
shampoos only wash hair and make it shiny or flake free. you need to go to the health department and find some solutions to use.
maybe ur stressed out or something take a break and calm down . hsappened to me a bit
Massage aloe Vera gel over the scalp, leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives excellent results for hair loss if one uses this massage at least 3-4 times a week. Check out

you can bye shampoos that thicken your hair but the only ones that would really work and you would notice a difference is a product called kerastase which you can only go and buy in salons and it is quite expensive but kerastase is a very good brand!
leave in conditioner,,,but not a weekly thing,,hair breakage,hair loss,is due to lack of vitamin,and also stress,,and try and use less dryers,irons and such,,,,go naturall,,for a while,,give your hair a rest....
the more you mess with it the quicker it will start to go just wash it twice a week in a mild shampoo and conditioner and style it with what ever products you use, enjoy your hair while you can(sorry)...
Check out

I know that you think there is nothing you can do about your hair loss and you are probably wondering what you are doing wrong to cause this hair loss.聽 Sometimes it is just hereditary and sometimes there are other underlying causes.聽 Once you talk to your doctor and rule out any underlying medical causes you can check into taking supplements,聽 over the counter or natural remedies to help prevent further hair loss and even re-grow your hair.聽 So don't worry help is not far away!聽 I know how you feel - I panicked when I started to lose my hair and I didn't know who to talk to or what to do so I went straight to the web just like you did when you came to Yahoo answers and I found a website that gave me hope and solutions.聽 I will give you that website so you can rest assured that your hair loss does not have to be permanent.聽 www.stophairlossmenopause.com聽 聽My sincerest best wishes to you!Whats the best shampoo or condition to help your hair grow and prevent hair loss?
After all the experiments that i have done to my hair[dry curly one] and reading so many forums related to hair loss and growth, i guess you cant point one particular brand as a good one. Because not every shampoo or conditioner is working for everyone...
Personally i feel body shop conditioner is good for my hair. Shampoo...few of my friends said organics is good.but i have not given a try yet.
I have very long straight hair. I use biotin 1000 mg, coconut oil %26amp; Aveeno's new shampoo %26amp; conditioner. I leave the coconut oil in overnight then wash out in the morning. If that does not work for then leave in for ONE hour then wash it out. Do this at least once a week. I do it twice sometimes if I have a time three times. I have been using Aveen for the last month %26amp; a half %26amp; just love it. If you use the conditioner do not use the oil the same night or that morning for it will weigh your hair down. I hope this helps. Good luck %26amp; God bless you. :)
Well for one try using Mane N' Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the time and it makes your hair grow faster. You can find it at walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should use cold or
luke warm water on your hair so it won't damage it. Even hot water hurts your hair.

Best gentle shampoo to prevent hair loss?
Hey. I am a 19 year old guy who recently has been having bad experiences with hair loss. Every time I go to wash my hair with head and shoulders 2 in 1 (shampoo and conditioner in the same bottle), after I am done lathering a lot of hair is in my hands. This has never happened before. Sometimes my hair is falling out when I am not showering, for example one day I woke up and my pillow had alot of hair on it. Some people have also told me that my hair looks dry. I want to know a good gentle shampoo that will help my hair. Thanks a lot.Best gentle shampoo to prevent hair loss?
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htmBest gentle shampoo to prevent hair loss?
Go to the Doc - there must be some reason for this type of extreme hair loss (thyroid maybe). Worst scenario - he may suggest Rogaine!
Things like that happen because of stress, things that are troubling you,not that great of a diet meaning the way you exercise, lack of fitness and excercise, or deficiency in vitamins, or maybe it's a health problem, you can check with your doctor. Lastly head and shoulders can be too drying or harsh for your head....you can use a gentle shampoo...you can try Johnson's Baby Shampoo because that can be good for anyone's head. Or checking with your doctor of what kind of shampoo to use is the best bet. Good luck!!
Instead of frequently using shampoo you can try this option once in a while to strengthen hair. Two egg white mixed with two tablespoon of yogurt can be applied for 30 minutes and then washed, when done at least once a week prevents hair loss . What food /drink /shampoo should I take NOW to prevent hair loss or balding in the future?
I really dont wanna lose hair like my father!!
I know I've asked this forget but I forget things! What food /drink /shampoo should I take NOW to prevent hair loss or balding in the future?
Actually the genes that cause male baldness are passed on from your mother, not your father.
Another thing to keep in mind is that baldness can skip a generation.
There are no foods, drinks or shampoo's that will help to prevent baldness either despite the many advertised claims on TV, they are ALL B-S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!br>
Being bald myself and at first very vain about it, I can tell you it's not anywhere near as bad as you think. In fact I've found many women who truly and actually prefer it.
Better yet is the amount of money I've saved over the years in haircuts lol, seriously.
The only two bad things are cold weather, you definitely want to at least get a ballcap, and summertime from burning.
Hair is the one thing on your body that is truly not needed for anything except vanity. It's a very small amount of insulation for the head in cold weather but not that much.
Personally I am extremely happy being bald and I'd rather not go back to having to mess and fuss like a girl with hair.
It's actually very liberating.
If your dead set though you can contact your family doctor who can advise you on the few medically approved treatment methods. I think after you see the potential and often real side effects, you may want to heed my advice. What food /drink /shampoo should I take NOW to prevent hair loss or balding in the future?
Somethings are just inevitable, especially when it comes to hair loss, etc. However, you may not follow in your father's footsteps. Trust me, there is no magic pill, drink, food, or shampoo that prevents hair loss. Heredity governs that.
if it happens to your dad its gunna happen to you. no matter what.
MPB (Male pattern balding) is caused by testosterone, so you'll want to increase your estrogen. Eat lots of soy and grapefruit, wash with tea tree oil soap and shampoo, if you are treated for heartburn, specificaly request cimetidine. Course it will cause feminization of the upper torso... you may just want to play with the hand you were dealt.
Rogaine
Omega 3, and don't wear hats too much or too long.
Nioxxin, you can buy shampoo conditioner even a supplement in pill form to prevent and help with hair loss. Plus it'll make your hair grow faster. No joke - it really works.
I know of no food, shampoo or drink that stops male pattern baldness. Does your grandfather have hair? What about mom's dad? Do all the men in your family have baldness? If so, you probably will also. But, that is the way of 90% of men after the age of 30 and some even younger. It is inherited and there is nothing to be done except get good grades, get a great job, save money and get a good hair transplant when the time comes. If you hate it that bad. If you have a pretty head, shave it.That is sooooo sexy!!! Don't worry! Being a good person with good manners and values is more important than your hair believe me. Miss Mary
Don't use Suave shampoo.
Drink water, its better for you :)
Drink loads of water
Hair loss is hereditary and tied to the mother's side of the family. It is also hormonally based. If it happens, its happens. Shorten your hair or shave it off - very popular with the ladies and ultimately a sign of confidence with yourself...
actually its a proven fact that it comes from your mothers side, so take a look at your grandpa.

Best way to prevent hair loss including shampoo/ conditioner?
ii currently use garnier fructis long and strong conditioner and shampoo. I notice everytime i wash my hair and massage the shampoo into the scalp, i end up seeing my hand with alot of hairs. I think im losing hair, are there better shampoos and things i can do to prevent my hair loss or at least delay it :(Best way to prevent hair loss including shampoo/ conditioner?
First, cleanse off excess products from your hair and pores of your scalp- the simplest way is to scrub in a few handfuls of baking soda with your next shampoo
Next day, give your scalp the moisture it is probably craving - like a several minute massage with some good oil like jojoba oil, leaving it on as long as possible (overnite or at least a few hours) - then, when you shampoo it out, you will probably notice decreased hair loss
ITS IMPORTANT TO DRINK WATER - and remember coffee dehydrates and dulls your hair -- can you learn how to drink tea - it's a real adventure
MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOUR SCALP PROBABLY IS NOT GETTING GOOD CIRCULATION AND NUTRIENTS. Along with vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and amino acids, get a good antioxidant blend, including cysteine, then make sure you start, or continue a good exercise program.Best way to prevent hair loss including shampoo/ conditioner?
Just to share : Been on minoxidil for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.
My hair only started visibly growing after doubtfully trying out the various natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info
I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now.
Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.
Simply massage your scalp in general for a few minutes a day after or during a shower. It can stimulate blood flow and control hair loss. You can also use aromatherapy oils like lavender and bay essential oils for massage. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I know this very nice shampoo and conditioner it makes ur hair thicker and healthy it's called mane 'n tail it's in rite-aid and walgeeens. it wiill work cuz it worked for my brotherWhat is a good shampoo to prevent hair loss on men ?
Hi!
Losing hair can be hard on your self-esteem, and if you're uncle is committed to do something about it, there is a lot of options. He should be looking into different types of shampoo. Most importantly the shampoo should have an inhibitory effect on DHT and contain Vitamin A. There are quite a lot of products on the market that really work.
Even though it might be rather expensive, your uncle should consider a product called Provillus. The product comes with a money-back guarantee, so if you're not satisfied, you simply return the product and get your money back.
Take a look at Provillus at www.the-hair-expert.com, and please let me know how it worked out for your uncle.
Best regards from
Martin
He could try L'Oreal Paris Vive Pro for Men.
It thickens hair, and prevents dandruff.
Here's the link: http://www.lorealparisusa.com/_us/_en/de
He can buy it at drug stores.

What is the best shampoo & conditioner to prevent hair loss?
Does it matter what kind of hair you have? I have long black hair, what would be a good shampoo %26amp; conditioner for my hair? What is the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner to prevent hair loss?
I believe that Garnier Fructis Sleek Shine combined with a conditioner by suave is the best. I have never lost a single strand of hair other than when they are individually plucked out like any normal person. What is the best shampoo %26amp; conditioner to prevent hair loss?
Progaine shampoo and conditioner.......I have to protect my hair, which is to the long side......I've noticed little hair loss with each shampoo, and seems like it thickens hair....... :-)
Just do not use dandruf shampo it WILL make you lose hair
I've used this for a few years now. I try using suave or vo5 or stuff like that now and I can't stand it. This helps your scalp heal itself (and leaves your hair much nicer looking afterward).
PS. No I was not paid to plug this. Just hope this answers your question.
https://www.tahitiannoni.com/united_stat
if you normally loose some hair when you wash it, i would reccommend you to was your hair with baby oil at least once a week, it prevents your hair from falling out.

Is there a Shampoo to PREVENT hair loss?
I don't have any hair loss currently. I am 26 with a thick full head of hair, but don't want to ever have to deal with balding or anything so I thought I'd see if there is a shampoo I could use daily that would help prevent it. Preferably something I could pick up at Drug Fair/Rite Aid/CVS type places. Anyone? ThanksIs there a Shampoo to PREVENT hair loss?
There is NO shampoo that will prevent hair loss. If it is in your genome, you are screwed. Otherewise, take care of the nice thick full head of hair that you have with shampoos and conditioners that DO NOT contain alcohol and STRIP your hair of it natural oils. Also, use Infusium Leave-In Treatment to boost that hair. Enjoy that hair that many of us ';baldies'; want!Is there a Shampoo to PREVENT hair loss?
There are numerous shampoo's that are supposed to stop hair loss. I found many to be useless and not help at all. The only one that was any help at all is one called nisim. they offer an unconditional money back guarantee if it does not prevent hair loss.
hi I've heard certain shampoos are good - ones that have things like tea tree oil. There is also another ingredient in shampoos that is supposed to help with hair loss called Saw Palmetto - supposed to have good results.
Also you should avoid shampoos with ';surfactants'; - this is what causes the lathering up of shampoos - very harsh and drying on the hair.
Hope this helps
Well usually shampoos are not as effective, there are other options like topical lotions which you could apply twice a day and still style your hair. I am currently using a topical solution, information is in my website, http://hairlossgone.info
Ehhh balding is mostly hereditary. There is something called provillus that suposedly is pretty good. they have a little review of it on this website www.yourhairfertilizer.com
Yes there is, for men and woman.
nioxin
Ever tried Mane and Tail?

Can shampoos like Nioxin with DHT inhibitors help prevent or slow down hair loss?
And is it safe for use in people under 18?Can shampoos like Nioxin with DHT inhibitors help prevent or slow down hair loss?
yes! it is possible!!
anyway as we know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections, hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago my husband suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice (you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for him!bourjois

Does shampooing(washing) your hair help prevent hair loss?
I do not shampoo my hair often cause it does not get oily/dirty fast... i may even leave it for month(s) before i shampoo it :P. sometimes when im stressed i pull out the hairs with the roots... but now im starting to worry if i will go bald when im older... (im 16, male). should i start shampooing my hair regularly if it helps prevent hair loss?
also any recommendations on how i could help myself not go bald in my future.Does shampooing(washing) your hair help prevent hair loss?
Shampooing will not necessarily prevent hair loss. It can help remove some build up, which can clog your follicles, but your biggest problem is pulling out your hair.
What you need is to seek out a professional that will help you deal with stress so that you will stop pulling out your hair. When I was stressed, I used to eat; now, I do things like go for walks, write short stories, play video games, swear (a lot)...anything to keep my mind off of the bad habits. That is the key--replace a bad habit with a good one. It will take a while, but at least you will save your hair.Does shampooing(washing) your hair help prevent hair loss?
No problem. Good luck.
Shampooing does not prevent hair loss, but you should wash your hair and body every day as it is healthy and sanitary. The most common type of hairloss is caused by a naturally occuring chemical that attacks the hair follicles on the top of your head and shrinks them. This can be slowed down with rogain and other types of medicines. Another way to permenantly lose your hair is by damaging the follicles in some way. Other things also cause temporary hair loss, but as long as the follicles do not get damaged that type of hair loss is treatable. The worst type of hair loss is obviously male pattern baldness, which can be slowed down but not reversed. The only way to treat that is with hair follicle transplantation. Ask about your grandfathers, if one of them was bald you may have the gene too. Good Luck
Well, first off, stop pulling your hair out! lol You can break that habit by finding some other way to deal with any stress. Also, I wouldn't imagine it is good for you to go months without washing your hair. If your hair doesn't get oily/dirty that quickly, start using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and use is every other day. Even if your hair doesn't get oily, it will at least make sure your scalp is kept clean and moisturized.

Shampoo 2 prevent men head hair loss!?
Hi all,
what brand of Shampoo (preferably natural one!) is good to prevent my head hair losing!
I'm already using Monoxide every night but need other alternatives since this is not catching up with my hairs falling off!
thanks heaps!Shampoo 2 prevent men head hair loss!?
anyway as you know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss!
Absolutely consult your doctor first should you look into it.
the best thing for this problem is go AYURVEDA or herbal u find some good aurveda solutions in kerala they also ship the medecine if u can give online counselling with thm and aditionally when ever u use any knid of shampoo we in misconception use it concentrated so tht it will be more effective but the truth is if u dilute it and use it our scalp gets exposed to lesser chemical used in shampoos these days
also use baba ramdevs accupuncture technik s splly for preventions of hair loss
keep u r hai as clean as possible every time
Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo.

Are there any shampoo's out there, that help prevent hair loss?
Have you ever tried the line of NIOXIN, we use it in the salon. Nioxin is used for clients with fine and thinning hair, or noticeably thinning hair. It comes in 2 types one for chemically treated hair (color, highlites, perms),and one for normal hair. You start out with a starter kit it has a sm. bottle of cleanser, which is shampoo, scalp therapy which acts as your conditioner and a special product which works against balding, it comes in a foam or wetter based sprays. I have alot of clients that have used it after chemotherapy and have had awesome results. the starter kit is usually around $39.00 i would suggest not using it with any other products and when u completed all of the kit to move to the individual bigger bottles. The great thing about it is that if u stop using it u will not lose any more hair that u had or have from using the product. You can find this product at Mastercuts, regis, and JCpennys. I hope i helped u out a little. MindyAre there any shampoo's out there, that help prevent hair loss?

Does anybody know of a good shampoo that prevents hair loss?
Don 't expect hair loss prevention from a shampoo !
Use a brush and give your hair 100 strokes every day.
When you are in the shower, use a stiff rubber brush and give your scalp a good firm massage.Does anybody know of a good shampoo that prevents hair loss?
Hair loss is a stress-related issue in most cases. Shampoos don't solve that problem, no matter what claims are made contrary. You need to adust your diet and your emotional issues first. My daughter went through the same ordeal at only age 23. She used a treatment from a healthy food store, one where she worked. Oil of oregano was part of the treatment, along with peppermint. Her hair loss dropped significantly within 3 months of a natural approach. Plus she also changed shampoos from the commercial ones to the natural ones. Do some asking around at health food stores, as longs as you have confidence in the staff there. Most of them know their stuff and are glad to share. And good luck.Does anybody know of a good shampoo that prevents hair loss?
Garlic shampoo is #1 for hair loss. Rosemary shampoo is also good...

Well, i Iove to use Suave, Motions, and Patene. They do really good for your hair.

Is it true that this shampoo prevents hair loss?
I'm in my early 20s and is in good health. I have been losing my hairs after a long term use of Head %26amp; Shoulder shampoo (over 8 years)...it doesn't even seem to do any good with dandruff any more.
I heard that ';CHI Ionic Power Plus Priming Shampoo'; prevents hair loss. Is that true? What store can I buy it from?
What do you think of Bumble %26amp; Bumble? or Density Therapy Cleanser? Is it true that this shampoo prevents hair loss?
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.
1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..
2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.
3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..
4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.
5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.Is it true that this shampoo prevents hair loss?
It all depends on which shampoo u use because some of them may have harmful chemicals which may solve some problems but cause others...
There are many shampoos on the market that are advertised as hair loss shampoo. If you notice that you hair is thinning, you may wonder if this is what you should be using to help stop any further hairloss. The advertisements that accompany most hair loss shampoo products cite clinical experiments to prove that they do actually work. However, as the old saying goes “the proof of the pudding is in the eating”, you really have to try them yourself to see if they do work.
Some of the shampoos, advertised as hair loss shampoos and hair growth shampoos, claim to contain active ingredients that block DHT production. This is a hormone that the body produces that results in follicles ceasing to produce new hair growth. Hair rejuvenation formulae in these hair loss shampoo are expected to stop any hair loss within a week. You can order these products online and receive a three-month supply. Many people claim that they do actually work, but you do have to keep using them. Once you stop, the hairloss starts again.
However you can prevent hair loss without breaking the bank or risking your health to such things like side effects. Here are three of the most important things to keep in mind if you want to maintain hair growth as well as regrow more hair.
Step 1: Learn to rely on natural substitutes. Most people will totally ignore and even laugh at the thought of using things like home remedies to control their alopecia. This is the kind of thinking that will only cause you to miss out.
There are tons of natural substitutes that are safe, yet highly effective in stopping hair fall. One such example is the herbs green tea and saw palmetto. Both work to block a hair loss causing hormone called DHT which binds to your follicle cells.
Step 2: Don't shampoo your hair too much. Too much shampooing of the hair will only dry your hair out and rob it of the natural oils that it needs in order to grow. This is a very important measure to take when seeking to prevent hair loss.
3 Steps To Keep Your Hair
Step 3: Our third and final step in fighting baldness is to ensure your scalp is getting the right circulation that it needs. Keep in mind that more blood equals more nutrients to the follicles. Your hair follicles love nutrients and uses them as a necessary means to grow.
One type of hair growth shampoo, claims that it will actually help your hair start to grow back by as much as 45%. This hair loss shampoo is rich in amino acids and botanicals, which are important for a healthy scalp. It is good for any type of hair, whether it is thinning or perfectly healthy. It is ideal for helping hair that has been damaged by hair dyes and curling irons by restoring it to its original shine.
One thing to remember about all types of hair loss shampoo and hair growth shampoo is that taking care of your hair is as important as taking care of your health. Often the two go hand in hand. You should wash your hair and try to avoid chemicals that could damage your hair and scalp. Regular massage of the scalp will also help to keep the hair follicles and the pores of the scalp free from clogging. Proper nutrition and getting right amount of sleep are also factors involved in hair loss. If you start to experience hairloss while taking medication or while you are under severe stress, the hair loss will more than likely reverse itself when the conditions are resolved. While most people grumble about having a bad hair day, people with thinning hair or bald spots wish they could say the same thing. Hair loss shampoos may help.
Hair loss shampoo, certainly worth a try to see if it helps you, but it certainly doesn’t work for everybody.
Shampoo does not prevent hair loss, it only makes your hair appear thicker by puffing it up. Actually the count of hair is the same as without using shampoo. Shampoo only cleans your hair scalp and adds some moisture to your hair. The best shampoo so far unbeatable is SEBAMED everyday shampoo, made in Germany. Search for it in Google.
so try this...regular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks.(if your hair is really healthy then up the trims to about every 12 weeks, a trim is just a snip off the ends) if its been awhile since you have had a trim then inches may be called for to get to healthy hair. i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair.(its a vitamin that can be purchased where you buy vitamins, cut open capsule, squeeze into hand, rub hands together and apply to hair) dont message into scalp. if you get too much then just rewash it. hair will feel slightly sticky until dry then it will be nice and soft. it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month. it takes about a month for the growth part of the e to kick in. the other benefits are instant. dont brush your hair but maybe once a week to message the scalp, i use a wide tooth comb at other times. brushing breaks off hair. i just started biotin vitamins going on three months ago this sat and notice and big growth spurt from that. biotin is cheap and also promotes hair regrowth and growth. i also have the biotin shampoo that i got from a vitamin store online. five bucks for a big bottle and a big bottle of E is about 8 bucks. the biotin is about 3 bucks. i now take my fingers and message my scalp about five times a week, along with the brushing thats a good way to do it without damaging your hair. apply two or three capsules of e to dry hair and message into scalp and hair really well, put damp towel in microwave for 1 min to get hot, then quickly wrap head, a dry towel can be placed over that to help hold in the heat, leave on for 15 min, makes an excellent hot oil treatment. good luck

Btw if your looking for a cute hairstyle to try out these tutorials. they are awesome. ;D

Can anyone recomend a good shampoo for preventing hair loss?
I'm trying to find a shampoo that can thicken my hair and prevent hair loss. thanks. Can anyone recomend a good shampoo for preventing hair loss?
This is an answer I recently gave in response to a similar question.
This is an effective, natural, permanent, low cost cure for hair problems. Root cause of most problems is harsh, damaging ingredients in shampoos and other products and too frequent washing which inevitably denatures the hair AND scalp. By just stopping doing that healing happens. Best to use tea tree oil shampoo - buy at Tesco(own brand) cheaper than most. My hair was thin and I was losing hair - the following stopped the loss and thickened hair. To clear and eject accumulated stuff and dead folicules in scalp skin and pores, it needs stimulation to get revitalized and start producing strong, well anchored thicker hair that doesn't shed (and grows faster). Contrary to some thinking that brushing would shed more or break hairs, I regularly brushed with a palm held, fairly stiff bristled brush (50 times). There's a little hair shedding and some breakages only to begin with but it stops as hair starts growing stronger. Amazingly, some new growth happened and hairs grew longer and more appeared overtime. 4 times a week I massaged hair AND scalp with oil(an organic oil - olive oil is good, tea tree oil is better - it's a natural anti-septic) AFTER brushing and slept with it that way. Gives hair beautiful, healthy shine. I maintain a regular brushing(fewer strokes) and oiling routine and wash once a week(read up on alternatives to washing).Get as much sun as possible(vital natural vitamin souce). Eat healthily, with large proportion of raw foods and oils, drink fresh fruit juices, avoid denatured, processed foods, all sodas. I avoid restaurant foods(read up on what they do to food). I can be emailed(see my profile) if you want more info. Can anyone recomend a good shampoo for preventing hair loss?
i recommend PANTENE Hair Loss Shampoo ..It has vitamin E for beautiful hair..Don't forget to use it with conditioner..Shampoo leaves our hair hard to manage and dry, which oftentimes results to hair loss when combing..Use shampoo that is mild and intended to thicken hair.Usually, coconut milk helps a lot.Aloe vera also.Try to find shampoo with these ingredients..And if using with conditioner, rinse your hair well until excess chemicals are washed off..Avoid stress.Gudlak!
mane and tail, go to hair forum, they have some great shampoo
I totally recommend Garnier Fructis volumizing shampoo and conditioner. It works great! I used to have that same problem and I bought it doubting it would work. With just 2 wks of using it my hair was a lot healthier and it had more volume! Hope it works for you. Good Luck.
I used to have BAD hair loss, and every shampoo I tried didn't work, so my friend recommended ';Head%26amp;Shoulders'; shampoo, the purple one (extra volume). Since I dont have dandruff I use it 3 times a week, but it really helped my hair grow.
pantene
any shampoo with vitamin e is good
Nioxin is good for that and any shampoo with minoxidil.

Things like that happen because of stress, things that are troubling you,not that great of a diet meaning the way you exercise, lack of fitness and excercise, or deficiency in vitamins, or maybe it's a health problem, you can check with your doctor. Lastly head and shoulders can be too drying or harsh for your head....you can use a gentle shampoo...you can try Johnson's Baby Shampoo because that can be good for anyone's head. Or checking with your doctor of what kind of shampoo to use is the best bet. Good luck!!Best gentle shampoo to prevent hair loss?
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm
Instead of frequently using shampoo you can try this option once in a while to strengthen hair. Two egg white mixed with two tablespoon of yogurt can be applied for 30 minutes and then washed, when done at least once a week prevents hair loss . Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
Go to the Doc - there must be some reason for this type of extreme hair loss (thyroid maybe). Worst scenario - he may suggest Rogaine!

Does shampoo or conditonor help prevent hair loss or does it spead it up?
Hair loss is dependant on genetics, not on shampoo or conditioner. Shampoo and conditioner keep your hair healthy, and healthy is what you want. Most people on average lose about 100 hairs a day; it's not really something you can prevent or encourage by using shampoo or conditioner.

Does dandruff shampoo help prevent hair loss?
They do because when the scalp is dry then your hair becomes weak and then it breaks easily. I'm not sure if it prevents hair loss like from old age but I would think it would put it off a bit longer because it strengthens your hair. Just any shampoo that makes your hair stronger would be good for you. Check the back of the shampoo bottles at the supermarket they will tell you everything it has.Does dandruff shampoo help prevent hair loss?
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can

:]
I use Biotin based shampoos and they work great for me.

:-)
look at ingredients. something without SLS in it. if he's scratches his head that can also can hair loss.

The exciting discovery: six years of research by the scientists led to the revolutionary conclusion that the problems of balding are caused as the result of the formation of Sodium (salt) in the hair case which is located at the root of the hair including a fat gland, similar to a pump, whose function is to lubricate the scalp and to protect it against cold, penetration of bacteria, and dryness, as well as feed the root of the hair. The sodium a kind of Salt which is exuded to the scalp as a result of tension, faulty nutrition or hereditarily. When the pump in the fat gland works properly, the sodium is excreted in the form of dandruff. When the pump is failing no sodium is execrated and it settles in the case, and the hair falls out. This is the place to remark, that the case of the hair at the side of the head and the rear point downwards, and consequently there is a ';leakage'; of sodium outside the case, and that is the reason that there is no balding at the sides and the rear, while in the center and in the ';bay'; of the head the sodium blocks the case, and the case of the hair points upwards and causes the burning of the hair root and its falling out.
The revolutionary solution: Dead Sea Premier anti-hait loss shampoo, applying a formula of root acids consisting if Ginseng and minerals combined with a secret CRSFO which acts in a fourfold function: the first is the neutralization of the sodium to the base, the second is the activation of the pump of the oil gland, the third is the feeding of the hair root with oxygen carotene and pigments, the fourth is the exploitation of the hygroscopic property of the hair root and the infusion of the elements of which the hair composes; carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and sulfur, into the cells of the matrix.
So simply yes it does!!
It's scientificly proven!Do anti hair loss shampoo prevent hair loss? 10 points!?
No. There is actually no such thing really. But it's normal to lose about a marble size amount of hair a day. Amazing, yes. Also, the hair loss may be due to constant hair dying or hair dye in general, brushing too hard, a certain product you use, maybe a shampoo and/or conditioner you use that is too strong for your hair.Do anti hair loss shampoo prevent hair loss? 10 points!?
Nope it's just a con to get your money. My friend has been using them for ages and he looks no different. He's now gone and had some laser treatment on his hair. It's suppose to take 6-8 session and then it stimulates the hair to regrow. My A**E it does. He's had 7 session and he looks no different, his hair is thinning and he just has to get used to the idea.
I have a friend who says it works. I have had 2 doctors tell me that Rograine really works. The only bad thing is that you have to use it forever. If you stop, it will come out. I think it is expensive too. Try the shampoo and other products in the same line first.
I dont know if they really work. BUT i do know that a lot of the products to help hair grow back only PREVENT it from falling out. so try that :)
yeah. its says ANTI hair loss.

Shampoo/conditioners that don't cause hair loss?
what brand of shampoo and conditioner can i find at any local walmart or target that won't make my hair fall out? i've been losing ALOTTT of hair lately and i searched it online and found out it may be because i've been using pantene pro-v. so are there any good shampoos and conditioners outt there that won't make my hair fall out? i have really long hair almost to my butt and it looks weird if its long and too thin. help please!!!Shampoo/conditioners that don't cause hair loss?
uhh yeah they do actually why dont you research it a little before you go throwing words of reject around there chief. detergant( soap )is a double sided molecule which is why it can bind to oil and water. hence drying up your hair. when you dont have hydrated hair it drys up and cracks. thats one of the main reasons people get split ENDS because they are the dryest part of the hair. conditioner doesnt do much believe it or not. it doesnt cause your body to produce more vitamins or anything it basically saturates your hair with essentials and once you wash it away the onlything that is left is MINERAL OIL.(with some vitamin deposite) hence silky smooth. however, your hair doesnt absorb ANYTHING through hair. it is DEAD. NOT LIVING , and what the root and folicle head absorb isnt nearly enough to do anyting for your hair. conditioner is a scam. consulting your doctor is the best way to go but completely unneccesary because there is no such thing as a shampoo that wont make your hair fall outShampoo/conditioners that don't cause hair loss?
I'm sorry you are having this problem. I wish I could give you a thumbs up on any drug store brand. The truth is; most inexpensive shampoo's contain strong detergents, that is why they create so much foam. These detergents are not good for any ones hair, a good rule of thumb; the less they cost the more detergents, alcohol and harmful ingredients they contain, so avoid them.
I would suggest you find a salon in your area that carries Nioxin products, they will help a ton. Also make sure you are taking a good multivitamin everyday. Don't fall into the trap buying vitamins for hair growth, they are an expensive scam. You will get more for your money with even a generic multivitamin. They carry an excellent one at Costco. Also drink plenty of water.
You should avoid all chemical treatments; tints, bleaches, chemical straighteners, perms etc. And always make sure to use a protective balm on your hair before you use a blow dryer, straightening or curling iron.
If you don't see improvement you really need to see a dermatologist.
Good Luck!
Hi there, well for starters i am really big on hair growth as well as good inexpensive products for healthy hair. Lets just say im a product junkie who had to do research and try different products to find the best ones. But i think you should try products that are sulfate free and have no harsh chemicals. Look for a shampoo or conditioner with more natural products in it such as natural extracts like coconut, aloe vera, jojoba, soybean, rosemary which all helps healthy hair grow and keeps it from shedding, Not sure of your ethnicity but these products are good for ethnic hair and they are in some non ethnic hair products...and yes certain shampoos and conditioners can make your hair fall out due to harsh chemicals. But my recommendation is Bio Infusion shampoo and conditioner and they are very light weight, not oily or thick and greasy. They make your hair soft and bouncy with lots of volume and it keeps hair from shedding and breakage due to natural products. You can find it at your local Walgreen's and not expensive at all. I hope this helped and good luck!
Shampoo and conditioners with no silicone in it. Read the ingredients and make sure nothing in the ingredients ends with the word ';cone';. These are very drying to just about any hair types.
shampoo and conditioner don't make you hair fall out! Main contributors to women loosing hair is birth control and post pregnancy. You can ask you primary doctor for help And they can help with hair lost
Aussie. Herbal Essences. Both are great.
i love Paul Mitchell products...i have 3 different shampoos and conditioners by them and tons of their products...they have great stuff.
